The links module is quite cool.  It offers a variety of options such as tracking the clickthroughs on a page.  One of the handy things I do with it is use the module copy function. It allows me to create one set of links, then throughout the site - if I need a bit of a filler, I use the copy module option and drop my links into the page. 

You can link to a file, url or page within the site. Excellent core team module!

• The Links Module produces a list of hyperlinks to any tab, image or file on portal or to a web page, image or file on the web.
• The links can be set to display as a vertical or horizontal list or as a drop down box.
• The links appear alphabetically by default.
• An indexing field facilitates custom sorting.
• A supplemental description can be set to appear either on mouseover or on the click of a dynamically generated link.
